By booking Del Boy's Van from Trotters Wedding and Transport Services you are confirming your acceptance of these terms and conditions in full and agree to be bound by them. These terms and conditions are set out to protect both the client and the service providers.


A non-refundable deposit of 50% will confirm your booking. The balance is due at least 14 days prior to the event.


All quotes are valid for 7 days. Changes made to the booking after the quote has been accepted may incur further charges. If you need to cancel, we need to have the cancellation in writing no later than one calendar month prior to the date of hire. Failure to do so may result in the hirer being asked to pay the full amount outstanding.


The client must provide full details of their itinerary at the booking stage, this must include pick up and drop off addresses, times, routes and any special requests or requirements, as Trotters Wedding and Transport Services will not be held responsible for any incorrectly advised information. Clients must also inform us if they wish to make any amendments to any trip, destination or change of times etc. In all cases the driver reserves the right on the day not to take the hired vehicle along unmade or unsafe roads, including tracks or narrow lanes, pathways or areas with protruding growth. When planning your event you must take into consideration that the hired vehicle will be driven sedately and as a guide will not exceed 40mph.


All cancellations must be in writing. For cancelled bookings more than 6 weeks before the event, you will lose the deposit you have paid. For cancellations less than 6 weeks before the event, 100% of the total hire cost will be payable.


The duration of hire shall commence from whichever is the later of the time stated on the booking form, or the actual time of the vehicles arrival at the collection address. Any additional hire time above and beyond that on the booking form, howsoever it is incurred, shall be charged at £50 per hour or part hour and is payable directly to the driver.


The hirer is responsible for all persons who travel in the vehicle and their actions. It is also the hirers responsibility to ensure that all passengers are aware of these terms and conditions prior to any travel.


Every effort will be made to ensure that the Del Boy Van will be fully working and able to attend your event. As the vehicle is over 40 years old, we cannot 100% guarantee this. In these circumstances we may offer an alternative vehicle or a full refund will be given not exceeding the amount paid to hire the vehicle.


Trotters Wedding and Transport Services website and its content, including all text and photographs are protected and all rights reserved. Whilst all reasonable care has been taken by Trotters Wedding and Transport Services to ensure that all information contained on the website is correct and up to date Trotters Wedding and Transport Services and its employees cannot offer an absolute guarantee. Accordingly we will not in any circumstances be liable for any losses, costs, claims, or demands, howsoever arising from the use of this information, the website or any vehicle supplied by Trotters Wedding and Transport Services. Any information given or contained on the website is for information only and it remains for you to check that you are entirely satisfied that the vehicle you hire meets your requirements. You agree to indemnify and hold Trotters Wedding and Transport Services harmless from and against all liability, legal fees, damages, losses, costs and other expenses arising in relation to any claims or actions brought against Trotters Wedding and Transport Services arising out of any breach by you of these terms and conditions.


We reserve the right to charge the hirer a minimum of £100 for any breakages or spillages incurred to the vehicle whilst under hire. In the event of body or paint damage to the vehicle due to negligence by the hirer or hirer's party, the hirer is liable for all repairs.


When entering or exiting the vehicles the driver may offer assistance, but we will accept no liability for any damage caused to persons, clothing, or property etc. It is the clients responsibility to ensure they care for and collect any luggage or personal items when inside or exiting the vehicle.


We will accept no responsibility for any loss or damage to personal property or luggage whilst using our vehicle.


Trotters Wedding & Transport Services are unable to take responsibility for unforeseen conditions or circumstances which may result in a delay, cancellation or a change of vehicle. These conditions include but are not limited to adverse weather conditions, mechanical/electrical breakdown or restricted access. Every effort will be humanly made for the immediate repair to the vehicle so that the journey can continue, or where possible the hirer will be transferred to another vehicle (not necessarily a Del Boy Van ) so that the journey can continue. Any reasonable cost incurred will be borne by Trotters Wedding and Transport Services.


There is a strict no smoking policy in the vehicles at all times.


Maximum number of passengers is 4 adults including the driver. These are maximums and dependent upon size of passengers.


Trotters Wedding and Transport Services requires its drivers to abide by UK law and so requires all passengers to wear seatbelts where fitted. All persons, including children under 16, travel at their own risk. We cannot be held responsible for any injuries caused through any accidents, be it our fault or a third party incident. A Travel Consent Form must be signed by the parent or guardian of any child (under 16) travelling in the vehicle and all children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. If a child is under 3 years old or requires a child safety seat/booster seat, then they may not travel in the van.


In the event of severe weather conditions causing hazardous driving, Trotters Wedding and Transport Services will consider passenger safety and reserve the right to cancel the booking. In the rare event of a cancelation Trotters Wedding and Transport Services will provide a full refund of any monies paid to hire the vehicle. We advise the clients to have their own back up travel plans in place in case of any last minute related problems.


Trotters Wedding and Transport Services vehicles are well cared for and maintained but unforeseen breakdowns do happen, in this case Trotters Wedding and Transport Services shall not be held responsible in the unlikely event of a breakdown, accident or any other unforeseen circumstance. If a breakdown or accident were to happen we advise that the client has in place their own back up travel plans. A full refund of any monies paid will be given if the hired vehicle fails to attend your event. Breakdowns that occur during the hired period will result in part refunds given taking into account any journeys completed and any alternative transport offered or arranged. Any refunds given will not exceed the amount paid to hire the vehicle and the client agrees to make no further claim against Trotters Wedding and Transport Services. We cannot be held responsible for traffic congestion which may lead to late or missed connections en route to your destination.


Although our Del Boy Van may be over 40 years old, we do have satellite navigation and therefore we will always do everything we can to find alternative routes where possible. No refund will be given for missed or late connections.


Trotters Wedding and Transport Services will not be held responsible for delays or cancelations to ceremonies, receptions, missed appointments, missed flights or any other event due to the client not departing any given collection address at the stated time given at the booking stage. Likewise we will not be held responsible, howsoever it is caused, for the client not arriving at the scheduled time for any destinations.

 

Trotters Wedding and Transport Services reserves the right to cancel any booking at any time.
We will take photographs at your wedding which we may use on our website. If you would prefer us not to, please advise us when you confirm your booking.


Trotters Wedding & Transport Services advise all clients to consider insurance to cover for possible eventualities - such as venue cancelations or double bookings, vehicle breakdowns, loss of personal belongings, or injuries to persons etc. We will not be held responsible for any of the above if such an eventuality should occur and the client agrees to make no further claim against Trotters Wedding and Transport Services or its employees.
We have full wedding insurance for your peace of mind.
